General Information for Media

Accreditation
Interested media will be able to attend the 20th IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion. To this end, the organizers will provide access for the media in the form of a pass valid for all plenary sessions, sub-plenaries, workshops, poster and oral presentations.

Application forms can be downloaded (PDF, 30 kB, DOCX, 242 kB) or requested by e-mail from the media coordinator of the conference at . Please return the completed form to the same address by July 1, 2010.

The pass does not include accommodation or transportation. The pass is valid for one person only.

Please note that you will be responsible for applying for a visa if required.

Passes and information kits will be available at the Conference Registration desk at the Geneva International Conference Centre, 17, rue de Varembé, as of noon on July 11, 2010.

You will be requested to provide your accreditation confirmation and/or a letter or e-mail on company letterhead from your assigning editor confirming your assignment.

After the conference, media guests are asked to kindly provide clips or copies of their reports to the media office at the above-mentioned e-mail address.


Media working area
The pass allows access to a media working area equipped with a fax, power and internet outlets. It is recommended that you bring your own laptop and necessary adapters with you.


Media activities
During the conference, a number of media activities will be hosted in the form of media conferences, media briefings and photo opportunities. Upon request, interviews with congress participants and speakers can be arranged as well.

The media office will cover the conference by way of media releases, summaries of plenary sessions and other key events to support you in your work.
