Transportation during the conference

Public transportation for the Geneva 2010 participants will be free of charge during the conference. Your badge will be the free ticket for public transportation in Geneva.


Travel by train and bus

You will find all information about your arrival and departure by train on the site of the Swiss railways SBB. Just buy a ticket till Cornavain main railway station in Geneva.

The conference building is situated only 5 kilometres away from the Cornavin main railway station, in downtown.

Public transport from Cornavain main railway station :

  • Bus n°5 : Bus stop "Vermont" (direction Aéroport)
  • Bus n°8 : Bus stop "UIT" (direction OMS)
  • Tramway n°13 and n°15 : Stop "Nations" (direction Nations)

Travel by airplane

Public transport from the international airport :

The access to the conference venue is facilitated by good public transport services. The conference building CICG is situated only 5 kilometres away from the international airport, in downtown.

Before picking up the badge at the Conference center (CICG), one way transport from the airport to the city is free. You can pick up a free ticket for public transport from the machine in the baggage collection area at the Arrival level of the Geneva international Airport. This Unireso ticket offered by Geneva International Airport allows you to use public transport in Geneva for free for a period of 80 minutes.
