3rd International Research Seminar on Salutogenesis, 11th July 2010, Geneva
"Exploring the SOCdeterminants for
Health"
The IUHPE Global Working Group on Salutogenesis will hold its 3rd
International Seminar and Meeting in the morning and early afternoon of
July 11th 2010, in straight connection to the IUHPE World Conference,
July 11 - 15, in Geneva. The seminar theme will be exploring the
determinants of Salutogenesis or what factors, phenomena and processes
form resources for health, leading to a salutogenic development
contrasting the risk approach.
Further we intend to discuss how to formalize the work and composition
of the future of the Global Working Group. In addition we have been
fortunate enough to be able to create a strand of events connected to
the Salutogenesis in the IUHPE World Conference itself. Starting on July
12th with a Sub Plenary called “Change
- Yes We Can !!” exploring the evidence base of salutogenesis for
health promotion, there will be a Symposia on Workplace and
Salutogenesis, a Seminar on Modeling for Salutogenesis and Special
Session of Oral presentations and finally Poster sessions.
This is probably the greatest concentration of research and practice
into Salutogenesis ever. Please join us and in addition enjoy the IUHPE
World Conference full of health promotion activities highlighting the
frontline of contemporary health promotion.
