Offsetting of travel-related greenhouse gas emissions

Help us make our conference carbon-neutral!

It has been calculated that total emissions generated by travel (air, road or rail) to and from the conference amount to a staggering 3500 tonnes of CO2-equivalents. This represents an average of 1.7 tonnes per person. Because sustainability is the key issue of the conference, we believe that these travel-related emissions should be offset. We invite each participant to help us make our conference carbon-neutral by offsetting the average emissions for one person. Our partner for carbon offsetting is myclimate, whose carbon offset projects all meet the Gold standard criteria. These projects not only offset greenhouse gas emissions but at the same time contribute to sustainable development in the project regions concerned.

When registering for the conference, please consider offsetting travel-related emissions by ticking the relevant box!

To compensate your CO2 emission, please click on the button below.
For evaluation reasons please compensate one of the following amounts:

  • CHF 60 –  100% compensation *
  • CHF 30  –  50% compensation
  • CHF 15  –  25% compensation
  • CHF 7.50  –  12.5% compensation
* The total CO2 generated by 2000 participants travelling to Geneva amounts to approx. 3500 tonnes. CHF 60 will offset CO2 emissions for an average journey to Geneva.
