Medical Doctor (University of Lyon) Epidemiology and Tropical Diseases Specialist (Institut de Medecine Tropicale, Marseille) ; joined the private sector (Specia - RPR) in 1988. After a MBA (ESSEC), and internship at McKinsey (Paris Office), joigned Institut Merieux (now sanofi pasteur, world leader in vaccines) in 1990 ; As Group Product Manager, contributed to the setting up of the European JV with MSD. Director of the International Medical and Marketing department (94-98), he was then based in Hong Kong during 4 years as Director, Greater China and GM of a sino-french JV based in Shenzen, then 3 years (2002-2004) in Buenos Aires as GM, sanofi pasteur Argentina. Before joining the World Economic Forum in September 2008, he was based in Lyon as Vice President- Africa.
